Terms of service

These are the terms on which we sell and provide B1English, including how to cancel and our refund promise.

Last updated 20 October 2026.

1. Who you are contracting with

B1English is a trading name of Net Werth Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 12718042, registered office International House, 64 Nile Street, London, N1 7SR. Net Werth Ltd also runs B2English. In these terms "we" and "us" mean Net Werth Ltd, and "you" means the person buying or using the service. Contact us at hello@b1english.co.uk.

2. What you are buying

The B1 plan is preparation material and practice marking for the B1 speaking and listening tests accepted for British citizenship and some UK settlement applications. It includes practice sets, full mock tests and automated feedback for LANGUAGECERT ESOL SELT B1, IELTS Life Skills B1 and PTE Home B1, and unlimited rehearsals of the Trinity GESE Grade 5 format with an AI examiner.

It is not an English test and not a qualification. Nothing you do here is reported to any exam board or to the Home Office, and no result we give you can be used in an application. To meet a requirement you must book and sit the real test with an approved provider.

3. What we do not promise

We do not promise that you will pass. Your result depends on your own work and on how you perform on the day. Our marks and grades are our estimates, and estimates are sometimes wrong in both directions.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Trinity College London, IELTS, LANGUAGECERT, Pearson, UK Visas and Immigration or the Home Office. Where we name a test, we do so to say which exam our material prepares you for. Those names belong to their owners.

Our material is written to match published test formats. Exam boards change their formats from time to time, and although we track those changes, there may be a period where our material reflects the previous version.

We give general information about the English requirements, not immigration advice. Whether a B1 test is right for your application depends on your route and your application date, and that decision is yours.

4. Price and access

The B1 plan costs £29, paid once, and gives six months of access from the date you pay. There is no subscription, nothing renews, and we will not take a second payment from you.

If you already hold a B2English plan, it includes B1English practice, so you don't need to buy this one.

Your access is personal. You may use it on up to three devices at a time; signing in on a fourth signs out the one you used least recently. You must not share your sign-in link or account. If we reasonably believe your account is being shared, we may suspend access while we investigate. We'll explain the problem and give you a reasonable opportunity to put it right. We may end access for serious or repeated misuse. Any amount we retain must be proportionate to the service supplied and any loss caused by the misuse.

5. Your right to cancel

You may cancel within 14 days after the day you buy the plan. We provide access immediately, but we don't ask you to give up your cancellation rights. If you cancel within this period, we'll refund your payment in full, even if you have used the plan.

To cancel, email hello@b1english.co.uk or write to Net Werth Ltd, International House, 64 Nile Street, London, N1 7SR. Tell us clearly that you want to cancel and give the email address used for your purchase. You may use the form below, but you don't have to.

We'll refund you using your original payment method, without a fee, within 14 days after you tell us you're cancelling. Your paid access ends when you cancel.

6. Our refund promise, beyond your legal rights

Nothing in this section reduces your legal rights. It adds to them. If the plan isn't what you expected, tell us within 30 days and we'll refund you, even if you have used it. We only ask you to tell us what was wrong. After 30 days we look at refund requests case by case.

7. If something is broken

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, what we sell you must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it isn't, you're entitled to a repair, a replacement or a price reduction, and in some cases a refund. If a fault stops you using what you paid for in any meaningful way, tell us and we'll extend your access by the time you lost, or refund you if you'd rather.

8. How you may use the material

The questions, recordings, model answers and explanations are ours. You may use them to prepare for your own test. You may not copy, publish, resell, share or upload them, or use them to build or train any product of your own, including a machine learning model. What you say and record stays yours; we use it to mark your work and show your progress, as described in our privacy policy.

9. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break into, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service, or use it to store or send anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does.

10. Our liability

We're responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it's an obvious consequence or if we and you knew it might happen when you bought the plan.

We don't exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that the law doesn't allow us to exclude or limit. Nothing in these terms restricts your statutory consumer rights.

We don't guarantee a test result or an immigration or nationality outcome.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example to reflect a change in the law or in how the service works. If a change materially affects what you've already paid for, we'll email you before it takes effect, and you may cancel for a proportionate refund of the time you have left.

12. Complaints, and the law that applies

If something has gone wrong, email hello@b1english.co.uk and we'll reply within five working days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
